Dr Emma Carroll is a School of Biological Sciences graduate who has returned to the University of Auckland as a Rutherford Discovery Fellow after five years at the University of St Andrews.

A molecular ecologist and population modeller, Dr Carroll will talk about her work on the genomic analyses of several globally distributed marine mammals that took her to the UK, and her Rutherford work aimed at developing better genomic monitoring methods for long lived species.
