04 May 2017

Last weekend, New Zealand Geographic launched their exciting, new, virtual reality 360 documentary, featuring the School of Biological Science’s marine technician Lucy van Oosterom.

The first mini-documentary was filmed at the Poor Knights Islands and highlights Lucy’s recent research in fish bioacoustics. This documentary is part of a larger project with the Sir Peter Blake Trust and PEW Charitable Trust, who are using this new technology to communicate current science and important issues, and to help make the wonders of the underwater world more accessible.
